Dozens of world civil engineering experts are scheduled to attend the 1st International Sustainable Civil Engineering Structures and Construction Materials conference on 11-13 September 2012 at UGM. This conference is a collaboration between the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering UGM with the Division of Engineering and Policy for Sustainable Environment, Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University - Japan and Institute of Concrete Structures and Buildings Materials, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Geo and Environmental Sciences, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) - Germany.the development of CIVIL ENGINEERING
One member of the conference Organizing Committee (OC), Ali Awaludin, Ph.D, said that the purpose of this event was to disseminate and synergize various information on the latest scientific research and achievements in the growing Civil Engineering circles throughout the world.

Ali acknowledged that the progress of civil engineering in the world is growing rapidly and is currently focusing on sustainable development. In addition to the three key speakers, invited and technical papers will be present from a number of institutions and industries.
